My Story
I am a mother of two, National Certified Counselor, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, and Mental Health Advocate.
I’m going to be honest with you: I begrudgingly started the journey of going back to school part time to get my counseling degree in early 2018. This calling to counsel and help others take control of their mental health was placed on my heart years earlier and I fought God tooth and nail on it.
But I’ve since learned that when God gives you a calling He won’t let you ignore it for so long, despite how hard you try.
At the time, I was a mother, wife, and full time working professional with no interest in starting a new career and no time or money to go back to school. I was working hard enough to keep all the balls I already had up in the air.
And then the bottom dropped out of my marriage in a way that shook me to my core. Mentally, I spiraled … down, down, down. To make a long story short, I was “not okay” for a long time before I finally was willing to admit to myself that I needed help. I started seeing a counselor and it jump started my healing. It also made me realize that I couldn’t put off my calling any longer.
So now I am on a mission to help others take better care of their mental health while going through life’s transitions, crises, and traumas so they can live their happiest, healthiest lives.
Lives that are not limited by depression, anxiety, trauma, self-doubt, or other people’s BS.
Lives that are passionate, purposeful, and evolutionary.
